Our Founders
Dr. Sung Myung Moon & Dr. Hak Ja Han
Our church was founded on the vision and heart of Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. At the core of the Unification movement is the recreation of God's original ideal of the family. Beginning from their own Marriage Blessing in 1960, Rev. and Dr. Moon have called people of all faiths and backgrounds to transcend barriers of race, nationality, and religion — restoring the family as the vessel of true love and the cornerstone of lasting peace. Their legacy lives on in the tradition of the Marriage Blessing, a God-centered union that models how love in the family can expand to heal the world. Affectionately known as the True Parents, Rev. and Dr. Moon are honored as spiritual parents to all humanity, dedicating their lives to building one family under God.
